Pourquoi ce nom ? La colline sur laquelle l’Auberge est construite s’appelle Kalopetri, nom donné par les Italiens qui ont occupé l’île au début du 20ème siècle (de 1912 à 1943). En grec, kalo signifie « bon » et petri « pierre ». Certaines parties de l’Auberge ont été construites avec des pierres extraites lors de travaux de construction. L’Auberge Kalopetri se situe au milieu d’un havre de paix et de nature parmi les orangers et les citronniers avec vue sur la Mer Egée, le tout bercé par le tintement des clochettes des chèvres.
Le domaine a une superficie de 26000 m² et se compose d’un bâtiment principal et de deux bâtiments annexes. Chaque pièce et chambre bénéficie d’une vue sur la mer.L’Auberge Kalopetri, située à proximité du village typique de Kritinia, est un point de départ idéal pour d’inoubliables promenades entre mer et montagne.

« Fabulous stay »
We stayed here for a week and had a wonderful stay, Ulrike and Ioannis were wonderful hosts and provided a wealth of knowledge regarding the local area, beaches, tavernas etc.
The apartments are in a beautiful setting and are well equipped and comfortable with everything needed for a perfect stay. If you want a fantastic place away from the hoard’s of tourists in a tranquil setting this is the place to come to. We spent a few nights in October last year at this lovely place. The location is spectacular on a hillside above Kamiros Skala which means that the appartments have a beautiful view of the surrounding area. To explore you need a car, but driving is not a problem, as the roads are in good condition and the locals have a fairly relaxed driving style. Every detail at the Auberge was thought through. We arrived when reception was closed and Ulrike sent an email with details where the key to the appartment was kept. Included with the key was a welcome letter explaining details about the area, the Auberge and the meal of the evening. The breakfast varied every morning and was taken on the patio of the main building also overlooking the lovely scenery. This is a wonderful and amazing place! The hotel is located on a hills with amazing view around and on the sea. There is very nice beach in 600 m downhill.
